Exile: The Kolkata Recordings is the latest in an ever-expanding catalogue of the dub, hip hop and world music collective known as New Dub City.
Led by musician, producer and frontman Ali MC, this release was recorded in Kolkata and Dibrugarh in north eastern India, where Ali travelled to in 2016.
The songs feature guest tabla players Kaushik Konwar and Mrinmoy, as well as santoor maestro Turun Bhattacharya. A santoor is a 100 stringed instrument which is hit with small metal hammers.
The dub version has been produced by the UK's Mikal, who is a resident artist on the Metalheadz label.

This album is dedicated to Rohingya refugees worldwide.
